The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Consul of Poland, Jorge Zieleniewski, have carried out this afternoon the official reception of the fifteen students and three instructors conducted among young Poles, who will be in the town of Puerto Lumbreras in one week to exchange ideas, activities and gatherings with lumbrerenses and in recognition of his studies.
The group of 15 young people traveled to Puerto Lumbreras from Węgliniec, a town on the border between Poland and Germany.
The children come from poor families and travel to Spain in recognition of the good results obtained in the school.
These students, aged between 12 and 16, will remain a week in the town, accompanied by three instructors, teachers who will accompany the paddle sports, aerobics, climbing, canoeing, hiking and visits to Murcia, 'Lorca Taller del Tiempo, shelter and hostel Calarreona' tips Calnegre 'among others.
Throughout the seven days that remain in Puerto Lumbreras will meet with local children their own age, also informing them about our history, our traditions and our culture with the aim that when they return to Poland with an image formed on the Region of Murcia and in particular on Puerto Lumbreras.
Puerto Lumbreras Mayor stated that 'These exchanges between young people across Europe are always positive.
In Puerto Lumbreras we wanted to welcome this group of young Poles in order to pass here a few days of fun and to learn about our customs and traditions.
These children, due to their economic potential would never have left their country for a trip of this nature '
