Last Saturday a group of 26 lumbrerenses, including Rural Development Councillor, Jose Maria Parra, made a walking trail by the Granada Alpujarra.
The tour consisted of a rise of 7 km, of 2.30 hours duration and a decrease of about 5.30 hours in length, about 16 miles.
TRAVEL
Once it has been Trevélez itinerary begins with the ascension of the street Cuesta, beginning at the door of the church by a fairly steep slope.
During the walk is left behind the town hall, a laundry and several water pipes.
Once out of town crossing several ravines with frills of water, enough vegetation zones, wetlands, where little to be gained altitude.
During the course of the route are left behind farmhouses typical of the Alpujarras on one level, built with stone slabs (the typical stone of the area).
Until now the trail was more or less following the direction of the river Trevélez up the valley but from the hill back now Mulhacén, a dry and arid area.
This is a hard part.
The trail starts to climb very, reaching the crest of the posters, go through the river ass dog and Campińuela, an area of meadows and small streams.
Once in 7 ponds up to Mulhacén must climb the hill "line of breath."
