The third edition of Basketball campus and Quini Felipe Garcia Coello, held in Puerto Lumbreras through the collaboration of the Department of Sports City of Puerto Lumbreras and the Basketball Federation of Murcia to alleviate the need of the clubs in the Region of Murcia in the demand for refresher training and automation of basketball for the summer season.
Since last Friday, staying at the Youth Hostel 'Cabezo de la Jara' ninety players, the students of III Basketball Campus improvement that will remain until next July 6 lumbrerenses facilities, in order to take advantage of sports facilities such as the Municipal Sports Complex, Indoor Pool, Sports and municipal courts to learn new playing techniques in the sport of basketball, as well as new knowledge through the experiences of technical prestigious local and national, as well as outstanding coaches, as was the case of Edu Sanchez and Jose Antonio Fernandez, who explained their professional experiences in this last season in Tenerife and Archena respectively, where his teams were at the gates of promotion to the ACB and LEB Plata and shared the afternoon with children and cadets talk about their experiences, playing with them and competing in several individual and group games.
He has also visited the students of Julian Galindo Campos, Technical Director of CB Cartagena, all day and worked with the group of smaller fry and Benjamin, also sharing the food and competitions in the afternoon.
During these days the members of Campus 2008 have also conducted activities such as water sports, hiking, environmental education and nature workshops, among others.
Together the facilities of the Municipal Complex, have a total area of 4,000 square meters, have a heated pool with a length of 25 meters and six lanes, mobile bleachers and locker rooms.
The sports pavilion has a playing area of 30 by 56 meters of surface area that the distribution of three basketball courts, space for training and technical improvement of basketball.
