Over two hundred residents of the village gathered yesterday at the Municipal Park to attend the Tribute to the Elders who received four lumbrerenses born in 1913.
This year the special celebrations were awarded to José Carrasco, Catalina Garcia, M ª Dolores Pérez and José Franco, who could not attend the ceremony due to health problems.
The lumbrerenses, 95 years old, received a plaque and several personal gifts that made them the most over the town with more than two hundred people who do not want to miss the tribute.
According to the council of Elders, Matilde Garcia, "this memorial we have done with our older, year after year, is one of the most exciting for us and for the honorees themselves and family programming and Cultural Nogalte Cinquantenaire made for the summer months, because they feel special with this public recognition they could celebrate with close family members also enjoy the interpretation of Spanish and a recital Copla panocho offered by the "Joy."
