The representative of the Association lumbrerense 'Ria Pita', Maria del Carmen Martínez, has this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the City lumbrerense to organize cultural activities and art of flamenco dance in the town, as well as performances in various holiday events.
With a grant of 12,000 euros the Flemish association will promote activities and initiatives such as the annual Flamenco Festival Children, participation in the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of The Season-The Esparragal or activities for seniors, as well as the annual Flamenco Festival which enjoyed more than 1,300 people and took place at around Nogalte Castle, with a special performance by the singer from Granada Juan Pinilla, who was recognized Mining Lamp 2007.
"By signing this collaboration agreement lumbrerense Consistory is interested in promoting the activity of this partnership for the benefit of all citizens lumbrerenses and general lovers of flamenco culture through the organization of actions by the association in the festivities more organized in the municipality designated as the Flamenco Festival, held last Saturday at Castle Nogalte or action that will Pita Ria Quarter of lemon on the occasion of their festivals on Saturday from 22: 00 hours', he added the mayor of Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García.
