Agosto'08 22 .- The councils of Greater New Technologies and directed by José Manuel Alcántara and Matilde Garcia, respectively, have organized a computer course, which is being conducted throughout the month of August, which is aimed at retirees.
The course "Management of Computer and Internet", has a duration of 30 hours and is being held from August 4 until Monday 25.
This course is for retirees of the municipality and is part of the Avanza Plan.
The Avanza Plan is a project of New Technologies in the Red framed Rural Cities and Territories for Promoting Urban-Rural Technology (Network E-RUS) in the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras is a part, having among its main functions investigating and disseminate the lines of sustainable development based on New Information Technologies and Communication, public awareness and support of business towards new technologies and assist in reducing the digital divide in the population.
Councillor for New Technologies explained that the purpose of this course is to "promote the use of new technologies among our greatest offering free training to help them to personal growth"
This course is one of many that are taking place in Puerto Lumbreras in the Avanza Plan.
The groups to whom are these courses are varied as women, unemployed youth, pensioners and in general all the people.
Notably, the entrepreneurs and business owners also have shares in current affairs to improve the competitiveness of local enterprises and Internet presence.
Plan the next course of progressing to be taught in Puerto Lumbreras are "Internet Marketing" and "Best practices in electronic commerce" to be held on 24 and 25 September respectively.

Councillor for New Technologies, José Manuel Alcántara concluded by explaining that "through the Avanza Plan Puerto Lumbreras City Council has sought to encourage the business sector and the general public spreading and activating the New Technologies of Information, went on to explain Alcántara that, from the current government is making a strong commitment to new technologies and we have gone from 4 computers in 2003 to 99 in the present, while also increasing the number of rooms fitted out in all districts of the municipality, for the use of such equipment and making new technologies closer to the citizen. "
