The Minister of Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Jose Pablo Ruiz Abellán, signed today with Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquida, two important plans for regional tourism, the Tourism Promotion Plan and the Plan Nogalte Medina Quality Tourist Establishments.
Medina Nogalte draft, which also included the signature of Vice President of Tourism Consortium 'Medina Nogalte', Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the president of the Regional Federation of Employers of Hospitality Murcia (Hostemur), Soledad Diaz, has a budget of 3.3 million euros.
The plan will be developed in three installments since 2008.
The plan includes construction of a virtual viewpoint, a center and laboratory exposures, the recovery of the cave houses and their adaptation to different facilities of Hotel, restaurant, Craft Centre, shops or hosted service.
Also includes the construction of open-air auditorium, cultural facilities and new means of transport.
Also included are actions for the development of space tourism and to improve communication, signage, training, quality, promotion and marketing.
The main objective in the planning of an integrated and coherent action on infrastructure and tourist facilities, especially in relation to the enhancement of the environment Nogalte Castle.
To this end, will provide content that is complementary to the regional tourism products and in the municipal level, actions will be incorporated as accessibility and improving the image of the old, heritage and landscape resources hydrographic and ethnographic.
Quality Plan Tourist Establishments
Moreover, Ruiz Abellán and Joan Mesquida, signed a collaboration agreement to develop common policies and strategies for quality tourism.
This agreement underlines the interest of both agencies on quality as an essential line of action in the new way of looking at the competitive strategy of the tourism sector.
The government must consolidate new ways to compete based on differentiation through the qualification and the creation of new products and improving the quality of services.
Through this agreement, the Ministry of Tourism and Consumer considered priority in their actions and programs to support the sector's quality improvement projects that meet the objectives of the Spanish Tourism Quality System, recognize and incorporate the Quality Mark its policy of aid to the company, will conduct information dissemination and Mark, and conduct a campaign to promote it.
