The Governing Council has approved two grants to the municipalities of Puerto Lumbreras and Molina de Segura, worth 2.2 million euros for the financing of police at both locations.
With these investments the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of the Presidency, working with the growing needs of these two municipalities in Citizen Security.
For the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, the regional government allocated a total of 1.5 million euros to fund the second phase of the Safety Building in this area.
As the City of Molina de Segura, the Autonomous Region allocated 700,000 euros for the construction of a second local police station in the municipality, which will serve the new developments, as well as the entire area of the municipality.
The Autonomous Region is making a considerable effort, despite the economic crisis, for municipalities to continue to offer citizens the services they require.
Therefore, the regional government considered the implementation of Citizen Security Plan, which has already won more than 600 agents of the Brigades of Public Safety patrol on the streets of the region.
This Plan was at the time the consensus of the 45 municipalities of the Region, and is equipped with a total budget of more than 300 million euros.
