The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and Regional deputy, Pedro Antonio Sánchez has signed this morning along with the Minister of Tourism and Consumer José Pablo Ruiz Abellán and the mayors of Totana, Abarán, Torre Pacheco, Las Torres de Cotillas, Cehegín, Moratalla, Molina de Segura Mula and cooperation agreements for the promotion of consumer protection policies, intended to provide a free public service consumer advocacy in 34 municipalities, with an amount of 119,841 euros.
This aid is intended to subsidize the Municipal Offices Consumer Information (OMIC), providing a claims management service, including the functions of mediation, conciliation and a free legal advice.
Moreover, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras is committed to specific campaigns Consumer Information on the occasion of World Consumer Day, the summer season and Christmas.
The agreement further provides that the municipality lumbrerense carried out in collaboration with the Regional Inspection of Consumption (PREVENT).
In terms of consumer education activities that are planned in the city, will target students from non-university schools, where they also conduct surveys, market research and comparative analysis of Consumer Affairs.
MUNICIPAL OFFICE OF CONSUMER INFORMATION
In the Office of Consumer citizens receive information, support and guidance for the proper exercise of their rights as consumers and users.
