The councilman of Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and the council of Elders, Matilde Gloria Garcia accompanied by the president of the Association of Alzheimer Puerto Lumbreras (VILLAGE), Modestina Diaz, presented this morning during a press conference the activities will take place over the coming days to mark World Alzheimer's Day, on 21 September.
Among the activities organized by the Department of Social Policy on the occasion of 'World Alzheimer's Day' in collaboration with village are, the lecture by Dr. Mari Juana Morillas which will focus on Alzheimer's disease, this afternoon after 18:00 am at the Cultural Center, and where then will the emission of the last film about Alzheimer's Antonio Mercer "And who are you?".
Throughout Friday morning will be held the placement of information desks and alms for the association, in the town's weekly market all morning.
There will also be a charity collection at the weekly market in Station on Sunday, 21 September, World Alzheimer's Day.
That same afternoon, the host municipality's Cultural Center at 19:00 hours, the charity extravaganza with performances by choirs and dances Virgen del Rosario, Ria Pita and crews Puerto Lumbreras, Puri and watering places.
Tickets will cost 5 euros (fund that will be dedicated wholly to charitable VILLAGE).
With the entry number attendees will participate in a drawing for several gifts.
The ticket outlets are Furniture Torres, villages and box office.
According to statements made by the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia 'is our duty to work closely with the association to try to fight against this disease holding conferences, screenings and educational sessions for residents of the municipality may know when faced with this disease and improve quality of life of patients, their caregivers and families affected. "

For its part, the Village President thanked the City Council offered support and the commitment to this partnership, which already has more than 60 partners since its opening in November 2006.
At this date also marks the first anniversary of the new local village which opened just a year ago in a building donated by the municipality, with an area of more than 100 meters distributed on one floor which has a distribution several rooms and workshops, designed to physical therapy, meeting rooms, warehouse and offices for staff.
About 60 people affected by this disease, may benefit from the activities of the association of self-help, nonprofit, formed by families of Alzheimer patients, as well as by professional psychologists, Physiotherapy, Social Work and other disciplines involved in the care of Alzheimer's disease.
VILLAGE, currently provides services to patients therapeutic workshops on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 13:00, social service and legal information, psychological care service, with family workshops, and activities of organization charity food and commemoration of World Alzheimer's Day.
The schedule of the association are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 09:00 to 14:00.
