The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, propose at the next plenary municipal delegation to ask the Government to undertake the necessary steps for opening a new post office in the hamlet of The Season-The Esparragal of Puerto Lumbreras.

Currently Station-The Esparral is the most populated parish in the municipality, with a population of over 3,000 inhabitants, there being two villages, The Station and The Chapel of Esparragal with plenty of houses scattered and growing.

In the hamlet is located a significant number of businesses, agriculture cooperatives, associations of health protection, consulting companies, over fifty companies related to agriculture and livestock, and other sectors which could directly benefit from the advantages of the new office to carry out transportation arrangements written documents and other packages, without having to travel to the city center, thus avoiding problems of parking and timetable.

In recent years, the post office in Puerto Lumbreras has collapsed and the services offered do not cover the total coverage of the needs of the residents of the municipality, which has more than 15,000 residents and industrial and commercial growth in constant progress.
