The Councillor for Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras on Monday inaugurated a course in social integration, framed within the "Program Clara."
The course, which lasts three months is co-financed with European funds and will be held at the Cultural Center of the municipality and in the Youth Space, together.
This course is designed for 15 women lumbrerenses to promote the employability of women lumbrerenses with social integration difficulties in social risk, victims of violence or women belonging to different ethnic groups.

This program whose main objectives include improving the quality of life of women who have particular difficulties in the labor market through adequate employment skills, build self-esteem, counseling and vocational training initiative is aimed mainly to unemployed women who are in any of the following situations: victims of domestic violence, responsible for nuclear families with daughters and their children or elderly dependents, over 45 without qualifications, disabled or immigrants.
The theme of the course focuses on issues concerning the value of work, personal autonomy and ability to learn, as well as issues related to personal skills such as personal initiative for women, numerical and verbal ability.
The project consists of four phases, one intended for personal motivation, motivation for employment, (by analyzing the employment situation in the municipality), vocational training and, finally, actively seeking employment.
The Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the Department of Equal Opportunities of the City of Puerto Lumbreras promotes this course, financed through the European Social Fund with 15,000 euros.
This grant award the payment of grants to assist women (5 euros / hour), and the payment of childcare services for children of workers, if necessary.
