Four children, one 12 and three aged 15, have managed to get from Tangier to Puerto Lumbreras hidden in the basement of a truck.
Children have been surprised by the local police in Puerto Lumbreras when wandering around one of the main streets of town.
Apparently, the children have come to town from Tangier to the underside of a truck first thing in the morning, left at the entrance of town lumbrerense.
The four children do not speak Castilian, for which the local police of the municipality has provided an interpreter to communicate with children.
The officers have moved to lower the Local Police Headquarters in Puerto Lumbreras where they are providing hot food and clean clothes.
All children will be moved within hours to a juvenile facility and the case will be brought to justice.
Interior Councilwoman Dolores Arenas, asked the Delegation of the Government 'to increase the membership of the Security Forces of the State in order to combat this scourge of child trafficking and implement measures effective in preventing these situations. "
