The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the Youth council of Puerto Lumbreras, Mariano Carrasco, inaugurated this morning the regional conference 'Youth and Non-formal learning.
Spaces and methods of intervention ', which are held until tomorrow at the Cultural Center of Puerto Lumbreras.
The meeting attended by a total of 225 participants from different regions such as Catalonia, Andalucia, Basque Country, Valencia and Murcia.
The conference, organized by the Institute of Youth in the Region, in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, bring together young technicians, educators, trainers, psychologists and people working with young people to discuss and analyze the different methods in education non-formal.
Veronica Lopez said that these days "are an example of the commitment of the Institute of Youth in the integral formation of young people, promoting actions and activities to reinforce skills and abilities of youth."
The course will be conducted through lectures and workshops, which will analyze methods and models of educational intervention with young people, values education, intercultural learning, vocational training and youth employment, education, leisure time, globalization and sustainable development, development of social competence of youth, consumer education, equality, environment and youth participation.
The speakers participating in this meeting are teachers of Spanish universities, educators, technicians, youth and social organizations responsible for different regions.
