The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the councilman of Youth, Mariano Carrasco, closed this morning the regional conference 'Youth and Non-formal learning.
Spaces and methods of intervention ', attended by 225 people.
The meeting, to be held on 20 and 21 November at the Centro Cultural de Puerto Lumbreras, brought together young students, educators, psychologists, educators and young technicians, who attended the conferences and round tables in order to observe the current socio-intervention models.
Veronica Lopez stressed the importance of forums like this, as "foster the exchange of technicians, educators and people working with youth, experience and formal education initiatives."
For two days we have analyzed the different proposals currently on the field of education, and to think and awareness of the need for continuing education throughout life.
Papers developed different teachers from various Spanish universities, as well as educators, technicians responsible for Youth and social organizations of various regions.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia organizes a regional training sessions.
Previous editions were held in 2007 in Cehegín, with the course 'Youth for Equality', in 2006, Torre Pacheco, entitled 'Multicultural Youth', in 2005 Alhama de Murcia held the conference 'City of Youth Policy' and Cartagena in 2004 hosted a meeting on "Youth and alternative entertainment."
