The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and Regional Representative, Pedro Antonio Sánchez has met with representatives of the new Association of Entrepreneurs of Livestock and Agriculture ACEGAS, including its president, Luis Gómez Aranda.
The meeting was also attended by Councillor for Rural Development in Puerto Lumbreras, José María Parra and Vice President of the Association, Mateo Pérez.
ACEGAS representatives showed the mayor requesting the creation of this new partnership so that the interests of farmers and ranchers in the region are represented and have their importance in CECLOR, an organization of which this new partnership.
The Mayor expressed support ACEGAS because "the primary sector occupies an important place in the economy of the region of Guadalentín and in these times of crisis we must support all initiatives that help farmers and ranchers to take their farms afloat"
The meeting dealt with issues that directly affect farmers and ranchers, such as loss of profitability of products, the steady increase in costs that have been suffering and lack of water resources, increasingly severe in the region.
Pedro Antonio Sánchez, made available to representatives of ACEGAS, all the resources that the City has to assist in the career of this new partnership "ACEGAS interests are the interests of our farmers, therefore, and through the Department of Rural Development will put all our resources at your fingertips, helping to defend the interests of all those who live off agriculture and livestock in Puerto Lumbreras. "
In addition, the Mayor offered to Luis Gomez, President of ACEGAS, the space needed to open in Puerto Lumbreras a delegation from the new partnership.
