The Multiple Sclerosis Association of Area III in collaboration with the Department of Social Policy of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has installed this morning an informative and alms for the fight against this disease, to mark the national day of multiple sclerosis held on 18 December.
The area forms part III of the association areas of Aledo, Totana, Lorca, Aguilas and Puerto Lumbreras and was founded five months ago.
It currently has about 200 partners with the aim of bringing together people affected by multiple sclerosis and their families, raise public and government, opening the channels of information to society, to promote support systems for its partners facilitate integration and encourage and support scientific research.
Current goal is to raise funds to have its own headquarters in which collective physical therapy activities, counseling, recreation and leisure, as well as lectures and seminars.
According to the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, 'once again want to do everything possible to work with associations combating such diseases and especially with an association like AEMAIII that is newly established and I'm sure they need help and awareness by all. "
