The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez with the councilman of the Environment, Eliseo Sanchez announced this morning the next placement in Puerto Lumbreras of 514 new recycling containers side-loading waste received through a grant from the Directorate General Environmental Quality to replace the current top-loading containers.
Recycling is one of the priority objectives set from the local government team, therefore, 100 new containers purchased will be used for collection of plastic containers, and 100 new containers to the collection of paper and paperboard, increasing considerably the number of containers currently installed.
According to the mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez 'have been steady improvements in collection carried out in recent years by the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and installation of containers in new routes in rural areas, placing new collection points cardboard and lightweight packaging, as well as the upcoming addition of three new waste collection vehicles side-loading system will operate less noisy and annoying to the citizens.
