The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and CEO of Educational Development, Carlos Romero, accompanied by the Councillor for Education and Culture of Puerto Lumbreras, Isabel Garcia, met with the aim of addressing various aspects of the education system in Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
"Education is a priority, and from Puerto Lumbreras continue working for the municipality to grow and possess a full range and educational, in addition to high quality infrastructures," said the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The meeting addressed issues such as bilingual education in the Rambla de Nogalte IES, the school bus in Puerto Lumbreras, the establishment of school canteens or the introduction of new technologies in schools in the municipality.
The town mayor said that "this is the right time to produce a second Local Agreement with the objective of improving education in Puerto Lumbreras, as with the previous agreement we improve infrastructure and establish new educational programs through numerous measures."
The Director General of Educational Development, Carlos Gallego, visited the IES Rambla de Nogalte to know the participation in European projects downtown.
The institute is involved in the European Lifelong Learning Programme which encourages respect and tolerance in a multicultural Europe.
