Puerto Lumbreras women made a cruise around the Balearic Islands to celebrate the day of working women, including cultural activities such as plays, exhibitions and poetry.

The many activities presented by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras to celebrate Women's Week include cultural celebrations, such as poetry or drama, sports, such as walking "Fit for equality", and entertainment, as the cruising by Balearic Islands.
Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Lina Gázquez, along with the president of the Association of Amas de Casa Peñas Blancas, Asunción Egea, has been commissioned to present the program with all activities.
"Like every year, Puerto Lumbreras celebrates this tribute to the woman with activities and initiatives organized by women for women.
We particularly welcome this week in which rights are claimed as equality and respect, which is the essence of the policy of this council throughout the year, "said the Councillor for Equal Opportunities Gázquez Lina.
The events begin on Saturday, March 6 with an exhibition of women painters of the municipality which will be exhibited until March 11 in the Hall of Cajamurcia.
On March 7 activities will continue with a march organized by the Association Healthy Hiking Andaya under the motto "Fit for equality."
Women in the municipality will have the option of participating in two marches, one of 5 kilometers to the most daring and another 2 km away.
Following that up healthy, the City will give away a tracksuit to all participants.
During this first day, the city has organized, in collaboration with the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, a free concert at the popular singer acting Karina, who plays her best known as 'In a new world' or "The trunk of memories' in Puerto Lumbreras Cultural Centre from 19:00.
For the International Day of Working Women to be held on Sunday 8 March, the council has organized a trip to Murcia to attend the awards ceremony of the Women's Week and the play 'The daughters of Alba' Inspired by the work of Garcia Lorca "La Casa Bernarda Alba."
The poet Antonio Soto Alcon visit on Monday, March 9 workshop 'Go ahead' to chat with attendees.
This initiative, which has been operating for two months, is a book club in which women read and interpret the works next to a monitor for further discussion about literature.
One of the flagship initiatives of this year's Women's Week is the Cruise for Women to Balearic Islands.
The trip, organized by the Association of Amas de Casa Peñas Blancas and the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, which will take place between 17 and 19 April and will travel to Valencia, Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca.
On the other hand, there are other activities organized as a briefing on the 'Prevention of Colon Cancer' on 27 March and the performance of the play 'in doubt' of the theater company La Cortijo el day 29.
