Specifically, more than 250,000 liters of the pools can be diverted to irrigate gardens and crops, cleaning streets and cleaning the garbage container system of Puerto Lumbreras.
"This activity prevents the enormous amount of water spilling sewage of the municipality and can be reused for practices that do not require potable water.
It is a measure aimed at saving water in a municipality affected by the scarcity of this common good, "said Councilman Works and Environment, Eliseo Sánchez.
This reuse is developed through the Community System of Irrigation in the municipality.
