The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Diocesan Caritas Association Cartagena Murcia, has launched a campaign to collect non-perishable foods aimed at the more than 2,000 school children from five schools in the municipality.
The campaign has been launched under the slogan 'There are many who need you', conceived with the aim to increase support in the municipality and young people aware about this kind of solidarity activities.
"This is an initiative to increase aid for poor families in Puerto Lumbreras.
It is very important that young people learn that the municipality with the collaboration of all can help many people, "said Councilwoman Maria Angeles Social Policy Tunisia.
The food collection will take place between 10 and 16 March in four public schools in Puerto Lumbreras and tomorrow March 10 at the Institute of Nogalte Rambla.
March 11 will be collected at the school aid Assumption Jordan on March 12 at Sacred Heart.
Next Friday March 13 will be collected food in the center Juan Antonio López Alcaraz and ending March 16 the campaign to collect food at school Immaculate Conception.
Once all the food collected will be allocated to disadvantaged families at risk of social exclusion or those affected by economic hardship.
Distribution is conducted through the Social Services of Puerto Lumbreras the report of the status of applicants for aid.
