Puerto Lumbreras has welcomed this morning the local phase of the XX edition of the Mathematical Olympiad in Murcia which has involved more than 130 students between 12 and 14 years from all municipalities in the district.
At the opening of the conference have wished to attend various educational groups in the municipality.
"Puerto Lumbreras has gathered more than a hundred students from different municipalities in our region.
Through initiatives such as the Mathematical Olympiad generate new interests in youth education and further improve relations between teachers and pupils of the Region of Murcia, with these words rated the Councillor for Education, Isabel García.
Rambla de Nogalte Institute of Puerto Lumbreras has been the center where students from 6 primary and 2 º ESO of schools in the region have been tested which included the resolution of six mathematical problems.
The day began welcoming students from the event's organizers.
Following the completion of mathematical proof, all participants have received the diploma and the Rambla de Nogalte Institute of Puerto Lumbreras it has awarded a plaque certifying as an organizing center of the XX Olympiad Mathematics.
In addition, the Mathematical Olympiad has enjoyed a lunch they have prepared students Restore module Rambla de Nogalte IES for all attendees.
"For the first time you do the Math Olympiad in Puerto Lumbreras and has helped to bring this traditional event to town and show the more playful aspects of mathematical work in the students of various municipalities as the Aguilas, Alhama, Lorca, Mazarrón and Totana" , added the Councillor for Education, Isabel García.
This phase of the Mathematical Olympiad district of Puerto Lumbreras has given access to students who have achieved the best results for participation in the regional phase will take place next May 23 with participants from all districts of the Region of Murcia.
