The City Council has launched a course on 'Introduction to interactive whiteboards' for all primary school teachers
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the union ANPE, has launched a course on 'Introduction to interactive whiteboards' that goes to primary school teachers of all schools in the municipality.
Councillor for Education, Isabel Garcia and the ANPE union president of the Region of Murcia, Clemente Hernandez, attended a conference of practices taught in the Colegio Juan Antonio López Alcaraz.
"Puerto Lumbreras constitutes one of the first municipalities in the Region of Murcia has whiteboards in its schools.
To encourage the use of this new education system, we have launched a course for Elementary Education teachers learn to use the new system and enable the implementation of more boards in schools, "said the Councillor for Education , Isabel Garcia.
The training course is being developed during the second half of April with a total of 20 hours devoted to learning the operation of the new interactive whiteboards.
The researcher and professor José Dulac, considered one of the leading trainers on whiteboard, is responsible for directing and teaching the course.
Among the contents included, highlight the potential of the digital whiteboard system, the basic theoretical framework and learning software for interactive whiteboards.
In addition, through this course, teachers of the municipality engaged directly with the boards and know advanced exercises as an example for their educational sessions.
Improving education
The City Council convened the Second Puerto Lumbreras Local Agreement for Education with the aim of improving the educational system of the municipality.
Will be invested over five million euros to improve and expand the infrastructure of schools and to provide broader educational opportunities and better quality in public schools in the area, Lopez Alcaraz, Immaculate Conception and Assumption Jordan and in the Rambla de Nogalte IES.
The deployment of digital boards is one of the measures included in this Local Agreement for Education.
