The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has begun construction of two new paddle courts to be located in the Municipal Sports Center and the El Esparragal.
The project has a budget of more than 80,000 euros.
"The paddle has become a sport in high demand in the municipality after the construction in the past of the two tracks of the sports center.
These two new tracks will supply the high demand of users and provide better service to improving sports infrastructure, "emphasizes the councilman of Youth and Sports, Mariano Carrasco.
The works of two new paddle courts have already begun and is scheduled to open to the public infrastructure in the mid-month.
One of the fields will be located in the sports facilities of the Public School Immaculate Conception located in the hamlet of El Esparragal, and the other is located next to the two existing runways at the Polideportivo Municipal.
Each with an investment of more than 40,000 euros, and include the installation of artificial turf.
Besides the construction of a third paddle court at the Sports City, is also installing street furniture and litter bins, new benches and street lighting to improve infrastructure and provide better service to users and the development of competition in the municipality.

The lumbrerenses interest in the sport has led to the first bid Paddle Monitor course taught in the Region of Murcia.
The training sessions will begin on Thursday March 7 and has already enrolled about a dozen lumbrerenses.
The course also included as one of the 15 that are held this year nationwide.
