The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is making improvement and refurbishment works on three roads in the rural area.
The works involve the paving of three roads (The Mariners, and Augustine Pallaresos Tunisia) are located in busy rural farmers and ranchers in the municipality.
"From City Hall we focus on the improvement and development of rural areas.
With this type of measures for reclamation of roads, expanded security and offer a better infrastructure for both movements to transport cargo transiting the area, "said Councilman Rural Development, José María Parra.
During the past five years, the government team has invested more than one and half million euros in the arrangement and design of rural roads.
So far, and with these new actions, we have improved more than 60 roads that exceed 70 km route from Puerto Lumbreras.
The works, which end this week, include the paving and widening of roads to improve movement through an investment of 300,000 euros.
The road provides access to Augustine Tunisia Camino Viejo de Puerto Lumbreras and an agricultural area with numerous greenhouses.
In addition to paving and the three rural roads totaling 9 miles, the City is developing improvement works in Glen Aragon Road which is replacing the existing asphalt.
According to the Councillor for Rural Development, José María Parra, "with these new initiatives have improved far more than 70 km of land spread over the roads located in the hamlet of Puerto Adentro, Hermitage Esparragal Station, Orchard Road, National Highway Balsa de Béjar, the head of Jara and the ways of the Cañada de Alba. "
