The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Health, working with the Regional Centre of Blood Donation through the Blood Donation Campaign.
Next Friday June 19 will be a donation campaign in the municipality of 10.00 to 14.00.
Those interested should go to the hall of the Cultural Centre, where there will be blood draws throughout the morning.
The need for blood is increasing, and more to coincide with these dates that increases the number of surgeries and organ transplants.
Thus, the need for more units of blood in order to ensure the proper functioning of health during the summer months.
Blood Donation Regional Centre has collected nearly 26,600 units of blood in the first half of 2009, compared with more than 23,800 who won in the same period last year, representing an increase of more than 2,700 donations.
