The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has presented the 2008 Report of the CDL, which bid more than 45 training programs and managed nearly 13 million through grants and participation in projects aimed at promoting business development and training
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Local Development Centre, attended during the past year to 1,666 users for training, employment and career counseling.
Councilman Business, Employment and Development, Ginés David Piñero, along with the coordinator of the CDL, Maribel Garcia, presented this morning the 2008 Report of the Centre for Local Development, which provides advisory services to citizens, entrepreneurs and businesses.
According to David Ginés Piñero, "Through the Local Development Centre each year prompted a number of measures for career guidance and promotion of employment in the municipality.
CDL Annual Report 2008 reflects another year of progress in training programs and participation in national and European projects.
In addition, this year has increased significantly the number of consultations and participation in training programs with over 1,600 users. "
The training included as one of the key areas in 2008 boosted by the launch of over 45 training programs in various fields like agriculture, animal husbandry, management and administration and information technology.
Furthermore, last year launched the first Business Campaign promoted by the municipality to which helped the Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Confederation of Employers of Puerto Lumbreras, with the aim of promoting business development and entrepreneurial initiatives in the municipality .
The initiative included information and business orientation, collaboration with entities attached to the CDL, advice and self-Business Plans, and also reported on aid and European programs for the business sector.
In this sense, Piñero stressed that "education has become one of the priorities of the municipal politics of Puerto Lumbreras, since it is an opportunity for growth and a way of securing the economic future of the municipality."
In the field of vocational guidance, the CDL provided advisory services to more than 1,000 citizens to facilitate their access to work, or improve their working conditions.
In addition, the drafting of the Basic Guide to Grants and Grants for entrepreneurship, and launched the Local Employment Centre, which serves to analyze the labor market in the town and make new active employment policy.

On the other hand, grant management is another of the actions taken by the Local Development Centre of Puerto Lumbreras.
During the past year managed to 12,804,165 euros through participation in numerous projects as Maper, Mural, or the implementation of the employment workshop, designed to encourage practical work training of citizens, and generated employment in 68 people.
In addition, Puerto Lumbreras participates in a total of 11 European projects.
