The works represent an investment of over € 600,000

The rehabilitation involves both the service area as housing

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez López, this morning visited the rehabilitation work of the Casa Civil Guard barracks in the town, with an investment of EUR 604,468 funded E Plan with the Ministry of Interior.

In both works are developed, the City has facilitated the provision of a municipal service enabled for this purpose.

González Tovar noted that with these works is to put government departments to service needs and the housing attached to the barracks.

The rehabilitation activities are focused on the redistribution of space, providing them with heat and sound insulation, updating the plumbing and electricity, replacing woodwork, paneling and repairing deck areas with replacement of waterproofing.

Regarding the former, the focus is on increasing the area of work units located on the ground floor, with a new distribution of space according to current needs, including new access, waiting room, guard doors, public service offices, the post commander, file, male and female changing rooms, toilets, etc.

As for housing, preserving the original eight existing, with variations of surface distribution and some of them, as they have been adapted to growth on the surface of official agencies, which has been a small reduction in both space ground floor and keeping three of the second and third floors.

All rooms have direct light and ventilation to the outside.
