The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has organized the 2009 Cultural Nogalte program, which includes more than thirty activities related to music, theater, dance and film.
The Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Councillor for Culture and Celebrations, Isabel Garcia, presented the program to be held during the months of July and August in various parts of Puerto Lumbreras.
"Cultural Nogalte has become a major cultural stakes driven from City Hall.
The theater, literature, dance, music and recreational activities are the main axes of the 2009 edition, "the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
In its 2009 edition, includes Cultural Nogalte X flamenco festival to be held on 11th July from 22.00.
This year will feature special performances by the singer María José Pérez, accompanied by guitar and Miguel Ochando with the show 'Romeo and Juliet' Ballet Flamenco Ria Pita.
In the music field, the program also includes the first edition of Lemontrees Rock, which is held in conjunction with the Fiesta in the neighborhood of Lemon on 18 July, and the sixth edition of the Concert Ramblues in acting and Miguel Bañón NNP band.
In addition, on August 1 will be held on the National Folklore Festival organized by the local Association of Songs and Dances Virgen del Rosario.
This year the event will be attended and the parade of folk groups from the Comunidad Valenciana, Andalusia and Murcia.
"The National Folk Festival, the Festival Flamenco or mega events Ramblues are already consolidated buttressing Puerto Lumbreras as a municipality in the cultural field."
Sanchez has also added that "one more year with Cultural Nogalte the municipality expands its range of activities during the summer months for both lumbrerenses to all who decide to visit."
Another of those dates will be July 7, Day of the Independence of Puerto Lumbreras.
During the day you are planning a corporate event which will award the most outstanding lumbrerenses and perform the traditional Municipal Band Concert.
In this sense, the Mayor stressed that "this is a day that we return to remember our origins with a ceremony in which awards are given to different individuals and institutions that have for their commitment and work on behalf of Puerto Lumbreras" .
For his part, Councillor for Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García, pointed out other acts as the presentation, on Friday, July 3, the book 'Fifty photos from 100 years', produced by the Official Chronicler of Puerto Lumbreras, Juan Romera.
Overnight will be performed the play "Don Juan Tenorio 'by José Zorrilla, by the Theatre Association' Friends of Tenorio."
On Saturday July 4th I planned the Festival Dance Academy 'Pique', while on Wednesday, July 8 will develop a Poetry Recital with the participation of several poets lumbrerenses as Carmen Martinez, Marco Salvador Romero or Maria Concepción Pérez.
In addition, the Councillor for Culture stressed the Election of the Queen Child on 10 July at the Municipal Park and the Ceremony of the Puerto Lumbreras's Business Awards 2009, as it constitutes "an initiative in which both Aseplu as the City Council note the work of employers who encourage the development of the municipality. "
Cultural Nogalte also includes numerous sessions Film Summer Camp Cabezo de la Jara for youngsters, or a tribute to the greatest of Puerto Lumbreras in which the artist act Rocío Durán.
In addition, during the weekends of July there will be a tasting menu of tapas and typical dishes of the municipality in many bars and restaurants of the town, through the initiative 'Gastronomic'.
