The town of Puerto Lumbreras II participated in the Regional Campaign Clean Up the World "organized from the Environmental Volunteer Program of the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity.
During the past year, the initiative achieved a level of regional participation of 1,570 volunteers who collected 24,270 pounds of waste throughout the region.

Under the slogan "Start today to save the world tomorrow 'from Puerto Lumbreras is actively cooperated in cleaning up various areas of high ecological value of the municipality such as the Rambla del Castillo Nogalte environment.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras last year produced this action plan to combat the constant emission of CO2.
