The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Employment, Enterprise and Development and the Centre for Local Development, held a working meeting in which we have analyzed opportunities in the municipality.

"The goal of this analysis is to identify and catalog business opportunities generated by the implementation of new investments and expansion projects that promote the business of the Shire of Guadalentín.

The Innovative Business Group is established as the backbone of economic and social development of the territory which forms the southeastern region of Murcia, thus positioning the Puerto Lumbreras as a magnet for the implementation and enterprise-related sectors as renewable energy, environment and construction technologies.
Other measures that have been studied in the meeting was the expansion of the industrial area of 374,000 meters in town squares to attract innovative companies to the area.
According to Councilman Business, Employment and Development, Ginés David Piñero, "the expansion of industrial area of Puerto Lumbreras enhance business and industrial development of the municipality, but also contribute to the development of the Shire of Guadalentín through the creation of a large business park.
