The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Local Development Centre, participates in the European Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo Da Vinci created by the European Union to promote a common space in education and training.
The municipality will participate in this project through PLANETS Association, created to promote the exchange of the countries participating in this program which aims to exchange information and experiences related to Local Development Managers and Technical Job Placement in Europe.
In particular, the CLD of Puerto Lumbreras is listed as one of the members associated with the Belgian association of training and employment 'Le Forem' and the German 'Grumel'.
"The European Programme Leonardo Da Vinci aims to foster interchange, cooperation and mobility between education and training systems within the European Community.

Through the project, 8 local development actors in the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras travel to Belgium and Germany to study the methodology of the Local Development Agencies.

During the past year, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Local Development Center, served more than 1,600 consultations in the field of career guidance and promotion of entrepreneurial culture.
In addition, bid more than 45 training programs and managed nearly 13 million through grants and participation in projects aimed at promoting business development and training in the municipality.
