The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the departments of Public Works and Social Policy, continues to build new infrastructure of the Center on Aging Vicente Ruiz Llamas with an investment of over € 900,000.
"The center will have spaces for organizing training courses, workshops and conferences in order to meet the needs of senior citizens in the town of Puerto Lumbreras, thus adapting to the current needs of such public locations," said Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
Through the new infrastructure being built, the center of the Third Age of the street of Puerto Lumbreras Llamas Ruiz will have a length close to 700 square feet on two floors.
Downstairs, the building includes toilets, changing rooms, a warehouse and three rooms for the development of activities for older people.
On the other hand, the first floor includes services such as hairdressers, cafeteria, kitchen and two multipurpose rooms that will be developed in workshops and training activities.
In this regard, Sanchez added that "the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is once again the creation and improvement of public infrastructure that enhances the quality of life of citizens.
The new building is set up as a living space for seniors to be developed in various leisure activities such as lectures, gymnastics or craft, and will be offered additional services such as hairdressing, a psychologist and coffee bar. "
