The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) perform the refurbishment of the Rambla del Murciano located in the municipality.
The performances have a lead time of 8 months with a budget of 800,000 euros.
"These actions will solve the flooding problems in a section of the Rambla del Murciano through the flow conditioning and redevelopment of the margins," noted Councillor for Agriculture and Water of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, José María Parra.
The works include the refurbishment of the channel of the Rambla del Murciano, from Old Port Road and the road D-11 to the height of the Season-The Esparragal.
On the other hand, is being cleaned a strip parallel to the runway of about 8 meters by the demolition, removal and transport to landfill works (remains of masonry walls and concrete wall), fencing and mating opportunities in the area of action , plus transportation to the landfill of products from cleaning and clearing the channel.
It is envisaged the dredging of the channel current and the consolidation of public water through the dismantling of the side margins to achieve the necessary width.
The volume of material to be excavated is 12,960 meters cubic, to be provided along with the excavation of the foundation of the pier for the construction of lateral spots, about 2 feet tall and about 4 wide at coronation.
In the various sections to deal with this protection provided by a breakwater specks careada of 1000-1500 kg.
In addition, the CHS will rebuild the two humps that are intercepted in the preparation of the sections to be repaired.
