The town has hosted several focus groups mappers part of the project, which aims to promote social and professional integration of groups at risk of social exclusion and the implementation of measures to increase social responsibility in Puerto Lumbreras.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Employment Service of the Region of Murcia, the project promotes mappers (Murcia Active For Rural Employment), funded by the European Social Fund.
During this week, the town has hosted briefings and discussion groups which have participated several business associations and unions in the region.
Among them was Guadalentín AJE, the business association of Totana, ASEPLU, UCOMUR, CCOO, or UGT.
Furthermore, in the focus groups also helped more than a dozen companies in Puerto Lumbreras, and Cieza Totana.
The project's objective is to promote social and professional integration of disadvantaged groups such as women, youth under 30, people over 45, people with disabilities and long-term unemployed.
Moreover, among the aims of mappers is the creation of tools and structures to ensure equal opportunities between men and women in the workplace and promote the use of new technologies in the processes of education, the occupational and as a working tool .
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, as partner in charge of the project will implement several actions in the field of Social Responsibility, as is the implementation of an Occupational Centre which will obtain the actual data and the development of small and medium-sized businesses on environmental compliance, labor and social inclusion for disadvantaged groups or social development.
Besides Puerto Lumbreras, mappers Project with the participation of two other partner municipalities in the Region of Murcia, Totana and Cieza.
