Councillors Works and Public Spaces of the City of Puerto Lumbreras have overseen the public facilities which have completed the refurbishment and expansion to coincide with All Saints Day on 1 November.
The performances, which have been developed through an investment of 133,632 euros, have addressed the adequacy of the outer zone and the construction of two new pavilions, including a total of 384 burial niches.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Public Spaces, has completed the expansion and improvement works in the Municipal Cemetery with the construction of new niches funeral and the refurbishment of the exterior.
Coinciding with the Day of All Saints next weekend, Councilman Spaces, Juan Ramón Cayuela, and council Works and Services, Eliseo Sanchez, visited the final result of the redevelopment of the municipal cemetery 'San Damian '.
"Through these works have been adapted and expanded the infrastructure of the Municipal Cemetery in order to meet the needs and prevent some kind of saturation exists in the service.

The actions that have received an investment of 133,632 euros, have included the construction of two new pavilions have a total of 382 burial niches.
The first of the funeral hall has an area of 196.96 meters and 251 square niches, while the other includes 132 new niches spread over an area of 104.54 meters square.
On the other hand, there is also the area right outside the cemetery, which has placed new paving and new sidewalks have been constructed.
In addition, we have created 600 new parking spaces in the cemetery grounds, and offer new services such as crematorium and columbarium.
In this sense, Councilman Spaces, Juan Ramón Cayuela, added that "the works have not only improved infrastructure through the expansion of parking lots and funeral flags, but have also expanded the services of public space."
Finally, Cayuela concluded explaining that "the works include the placement of a statue of St. Damian, patron of the Campo Santo lumbrerense to be placed to coincide with All Saints Day."
