In preparation for flow and margin expansion is possible solve flooding problems in the area.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) continue the refurbishment of the Rambla del Murciano.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura, José Salvador Fuentes Zorita, this morning visited the works that have an investment of 800,000 euros.
"The actions address potential flooding problems in the Rambla del Murciano through the flow conditioning and redevelopment of the margins.
And with the expansion of the flow section, we will restore the channel of the gully in their natural conditions, "said the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The works include in particular the conditioning of the channel in a span of 1,620 meters, the road between Puerto Viejo and the D-11 to the height of the Season-The Esparragal.
Furthermore, it is cleaned and improved parallel channel strip of 8 meters by the demolition, removal and transport to landfill fencing and mating opportunities in the area of action.
As significant work emphasizes the demolitions of the three major gullies crossing the boulevard on their way, and also provides for the current channel dredging and strengthening of public water by clearing the lateral margins to achieve the necessary width.
The volume of material to be excavated is 12,960 meters cubic, to be provided along with the excavation of the foundation of the pier for the construction of lateral spots (17,820 meters cubic meters of fill material from the excavation itself) of about 2 meters high and about 4 wide at coronation.
In the different sections is scheduled to address the protection of speckles by a breakwater careada of 1000-1500 kg.
Also are rebuilding the two gullies that intersect in the packaging of repaired sections, and plans to design of the sides of gullies through a layer of particle board, 15 cm thick to make the transition to the road or roads existing.
Finally, the CHS, in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, has seen a few games for the replacement of both irrigation departments concerned (in total about 200 meters) and water (totaling approximately 300 linear meters) for possible conditions that can be detected during the course of the works.
