Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras account today with a new police van packed to support public safety services in the municipality, which is used both for traffic controls, as alcohol or speed.
The Director General of Local Government, Institutional and External Relations, Juan Antonio Morales, today made the new vehicle delivery to the mayor, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, for the acquisition of the Presidency and the government has supported the City with 41,023 euros, from funds for the improvement of policing.
The vehicle is equipped with the necessary material for the development of the functions of the body of the local police, first aid equipment, fire extinguishers, police station and antenna.
In addition, it will provide computer equipment to speed up police reports.
With this new vehicle, the municipality has five cars, including two off-road, and four motorcycles.
The municipality has also received a grant of 70,180 euros for the acquisition of Integrated Communication Centre for Local Police, a device that enables communication between its members safely and without shadows.
Puerto Lumbreras has a staff of 24 officers, nine of which are attached to the Regional Public Safety Plan, which will incorporate one more before year end.
Regarding infrastructure, the municipality will soon have a new Center for Integrated Security and Emergency units that bring together local police, Civil Protection, the Emergency Coordination Center City and a computer terminal associated with the single emergency telephone number 112.
The new center will be located next to the Parador hotel and will be built on a plot of over 5,800 meters.
