IES students Rambla de Nogalte participate in the project through design and construction of a vehicle powered by renewable energy.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras involved in the project that promotes Solar Race Management Regional Agency for Energy Murcia (ARGEM), with which it aims to train students in sustainable transport and respect for the environment.
This morning the students have participated in the first information day ARGEM given by staff and the University of Murcia.
The Councillor for Environment, Ginés David Piñero, explained that "students from the Rambla de Puerto Lumbreras Nogalte involved in this project, through which design and build a vehicle powered by renewable energy.
Students will be led by tutors and will be trained to tackle the project. "
SOLAR RACE The Murcia Region is a scratch race with a view to holding an international competition for alternative fuel vehicles in 2010 which involved a prototype of the Region of Murcia.
This race will consist mainly zero in a display of vehicles powered by different energies, energies that are an alternative to fossil fuel consumption in order to give interested citizens a better understanding of renewable energy technologies being researched and applied to transport sector.
