Puerto Lumbreras City Council has approved in full last name the new Children's Centre situated at San Javier, as "Ana María Sánchez Infant School."
The council has adopted this name as a memorial to the work of which he was a master copy in the Sacred Heart College for over 20 years.
Ana M ª Sánchez was born in Lorca in 1924 and died in 2005 in Puerto Lumbreras.
Youngest daughter of five children, spent his entire life to teaching.
His first destination was Canada de Canara (Cehegín), then was in Balsicas (Campo de Cartagena), the Bank of Azarbe (Murcia), and his last assignment was at Sacred Heart College of Puerto Lumbreras, where he remained until his retirement.
