28 teams participated from different municipalities of the Region participated in the tournament which was held all day Sunday at the Parador Nacional de Turismo de Puerto Lumbreras.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras received yesterday the Regional Rapid Chess Tournament 'Fed Cup' at the Parador Nacional de Turismo.
The councilman of Youth and Sports, Mariano Carrasco, along with the president of the Chess Federation of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Gallego, and the director of Parador Nacional de Turismo, Manuel Jesus Perez, closed the tournament with the trophy presentation the 4 regional tournament finishers.
International Chess Club team was leading the overall standings with 21 points, while the Lapuerta Chess Club 'A' won the second place ranking with 20 points.
For its part, the Chess Club Mar Menor and the Chess Club Cabezo de Torres clinched the second place ranking and third respectively.
