The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, inaugurated this morning the works for integrated action to improve road safety and the facilities of the Port Transport skylights to provide industry professionals a more complete and modern.
According to the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, "the municipality and the regional government continue promoting the upgrading of existing infrastructure in the industrial area of the municipality.
Specifically, actions to improve the Transportation Center will provide an excellent service that will add considerably to the logistical and business activity in the municipality. "
The improvement works have received funding of 278,866 euros, and has involved the replacement and enhancement of lighting, improved perimeter fencing in the western and southern boundaries of the Centre, the provision of lighting beacons on the wall, and the extension of sidewalks on the west side.
Also has an extension of the video system access control, new signage was installed horizontal and vertical roads and parking, lighting of parking spaces, and better differentiation of different areas.
The performance is complemented by the strengthening of the pavement at the entrance and exit road and parking apron and the implementation of a laundry truck manual shortcut manned by a motorized sliding door and a protective screen on the track washing.
It has also undertaken expansion of 16.5 meters from sheltering in the parking lot and installing informational signs throughout the campus.

Projects to promote mobility

The section runs along the Avenida Juan Carlos I, from the Glorieta of the Office of Tourism to the Industrial El Descanso.
This project, with an investment of 71,017 euros, includes a special care of signage, both horizontally and vertically, the intersections of the road bike lane of traffic prioritizing the movement of bicycles in order to provide greater road safety for cyclists.
