The City will work in the energy efficiency of lighting through Ecopuerto Strategic Plan 2008-2012, which includes more than 150 measures to enhance sustainable development and environmental care.
The Technology Centre of Energy and the Environment (CETENMA), in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia (ARGEM), have organized 'Conference on energy efficiency in street lighting installations outside 'that has developed in the Center for Entrepreneurship of the municipality.
The meeting has been attended by about 50 people, including technicians were the towns of Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca, as well as employers and workers in sectors such as lighting, energy efficiency and electricity.

Specifically, the first of the conferences has had the presentation of various professionals such as Sergio Frutos, CETENMA Development coordinator, Javier Lido, technical director of Energy Saving Lidolight or Borja Gil, manager of Integrated Energy Ltd. Among the topics to be addressed, have highlighted the contributions of applied LED technology for street lighting energy saving, solar street lighting installations, in addition to the explanation of the management and control of exterior lighting.
On the other hand, the March 10 Puerto Lumbreras host the second of the conference on Entrepreneurship Center with the participation of speakers at the Technology Center for Energy and the Environment (CETENMA), and the Directorate General of Industry, Energy and Mines.
On this occasion, the day will focus on the 'Regulation on energy efficiency in public outdoor lighting installations. "
Finally, coinciding with the conclusion of the conference on energy efficiency in the municipality, the council of the Environment, Ginés David Piñero, Puerto Lumbreras recalled that launched last year Ecopuerto Strategic Plan 2008 - 2012 which collected more than 150 specific measures to increase sustainable development and environmental care.
