Over one hundred women from different sectors lumbrerenses and local associations have raised issues and concerns to the Mayor of the municipality
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, held this morning a meeting with the women of the town coincided with the conclusion of the Working Women's Day on Monday 8 March.
The initiative, 'Talk to Women', has gathered more than a hundred lumbrerenses women from all sectors of the population, and representatives of various groups.
Specifically, the meetings 'We spoke to ...' will be organized with different groups of the municipality to present their concerns, needs and issues to the Mayor.
In this first edition for women, have addressed various aspects such as new public childcare facilities, the implementation of new programs of activities for women sponsored by the Department of Equal Opportunity, as well as equality and reconciliation plans of work and family life that drives the consistory lumbrerense.
According to the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, "Through this initiative we know the concerns and needs of different sectors of the population of the municipality.
This time, coinciding with the celebration of Day of Working Women, many women have gathered from all sectors and ages, as well as representatives of various local associations. "
The conference, which was moderated by journalist Conchita Ruiz, has had a breakfast and a round of questions in which all participants have expressed their issues to the Mayor.
Among the topics he has addressed Sánchez, highlighted in Nursery Education Project includes the improvement and creation of new infrastructures with more places for students, and implementation of new educational program to learn English from zero years.
In addition, the day 'We talk to women' has included questions related to the implementation of programs of activities for women in the city, and the future creation of a new business incubator for women.
On the other hand, and when questioned on the nod, Sanchez explained the plans promoted by the municipality to help women entrepreneurs as well as the participation of the municipality on a project at European level to promote information and eradicate gender violence rural areas.
