The day has had a Mass and a floral tribute in honor of the victims of terrorism.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and Regional Representative, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, received this morning the 'Knight Grand Cross of St. James' during the First Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Armed Forces and Security Forces which was held in Cartagena, coinciding with the feast of San José.
Sanchez has received the award from the National Association of Civil Guards 'Marqués de las Amarillas' in recognition of his work and commitment to partnerships and Victims of Terrorism.
Sanchez defended the Regional Assembly Law on Protection of Victims of Terrorism which was adopted in the Region of Murcia.
In addition, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Association of Victims of Terrorism in the Region of Murcia were joined in a partnership agreement to conduct awareness campaigns and help ensure support for victims of such crimes and the repudiation terrorist activities.
