The Championship is organized by FARM (Chess Federation of the Community of Murcia), in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Parador de Turismo de Puerto Lumbreras.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras host the Regional Championships XXV Absolute Chess Individual to be held on 11, and April 25 and 16 and 23 May.
The councilman of Youth and Sports, Mariano Carrasco, alongside the president of the chess federation, Antonio Gallego, and the Director of the Parador de Puerto Lumbreras, Jesus Manuel, presented the championship which is scheduled to congregate over a hundred participants from across the region of Murcia.
"WSTA is the second time that Puerto Lumbreras hosts a regional tournament of this type that is expected to be involved over a hundred players from across the region.
Competition will be regulated by the Regional Chess Federation, greatly increasing the level of evidence, "the councilman of Youth and Sports, Mariano Carrasco.
Championship Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 7, will be played 8 rounds Swiss system and the matching of players will use the computerized 'Swiss Manager'.
In addition, two rounds will be played daily at 10:00 hours for the first h and 16:30 h for the second.
On the other hand, the three top finishers in the competition will receive a trophy and cash prizes: the third place will receive 200 euros, 300 euros and the runner-up champion 400 euros.
Finally, coinciding with the competition, the Parador de Puerto Lumbreras organize a different menu every day of the championship for both players and guests.
There is also the possibility of acquiring a bond for the four days of the Championship, with a menu price of 18 euros.
