The new public infrastructure with an investment of 1,400,000 euros and will include a Center for Early Care and Occupational Center.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with regional and state government, will end next summer work on the new Day Care Centre for disabled people.
The new public facility will have an approximate area of over 2,100 square meters and will include a Center for Early Care and Occupational Center to expand services for disabled people in the municipality.
The infrastructure is being built through state and regional investment amounting to 1,400,000 euros.
"This new public facilities will benefit and improve the quality of life of all persons dependent residents in the municipality, since it is an appropriate remedy to ensure comprehensive care of persons with disabilities," said the Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Ánegeles Tunisia.
New infrastructure, which were finished during the month of June, are located in an area of recent expansion of the town of Puerto Lumbreras towards the hamlet of Esparragal.
On the ground floor will house the Early Childhood Center consists of a psychomotor and physical therapy room, three classrooms, speech therapy and stimulation and a multifunctional room.
On the other hand, on the second floor will house the Occupational Center, which includes two classrooms for training programs and personal and social adjustment, an occupational workshop and several rest rooms, office and physiotherapy.
In addition, the center will have a common dining room and a space for families where spaces will be located psychology and social work.
Finally, the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, explained that "the new center will operate new services include staff with expertise in the comprehensive care of people."
