The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, and in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras done work on improving road safety on the road RM-D16 of the Esparragal in Puerto Lumbreras.
The Councillor for Rural Development, José María Parra, and the director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, visited the works that are being developed to remove a stretch of Concentration of Accidents road linking the town of Puerto Lumbreras in the hamlet Season-Esparragal.
According to the councilman of Rural Development, "with these works will improve road safety and increase the traffic flow on the road linking the city center with the largest population district of the municipality.

Specifically, the works that are being developed with an investment of 298,100 euros, and include the construction of a roundabout full of 30 feet in diameter inside and 41 outside diameter, and an adequate drainage system.
The roadway will have one lane of 5.5 meters wide and have shoulders of a meter.
