The Alzheimer Association of Puerto Lumbreras (ALDE), in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, organized this week a charity dinner to raise funds to be allocated to the improvement of services provided by the association lumbrerense to patients Alzheimers in the village.
More than 300 people have come to the fourth edition of the day that is devoted year after a spout of the charitable events in Puerto Lumbreras.
The event has also had numerous musical performances by local artists such as Africa, Ana Elisa, Batuka Show, or the performance of flamenco ballet 'Ria Pita. "
Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, said that "the municipality will continue to collaborate with the Association VILLAGE as it has done so far in order to increase services to all patients with Alzheimer's."
For its part, the President of the Association, Modestina Diaz thanked all attendees for your support and donations "that will serve to further improve the quality of life of patients with Alzheimer's in the town of Puerto Lumbreras.
VILLAGE Association
The Village Association is a nonprofit organization formed in November 2006 and formed by relatives of Alzheimer patients and professionals from various fields such as psychology, physiotherapy, social work and other disciplines involved in the care of Alzheimer's disease.
Its activity, financed by contributions and donations of more than 60 partners and by grants from public bodies, arises through private initiatives to the needs expressed by families of Alzheimer patients.
The new store, located in Calle Doctor Jiménez Díaz, inaugurated last year, has an area of over 100 square feet on a plant equipped with reception, waiting room, two offices, two work rooms and an examination room, adequate space to develop its activities following its recent life as a partnership a year ago.
